The Dollar Brothers Band

Brandy Miller is the 12 year old daughter of our bass player. She has been playing banjo since she was 6 1/2 years old.                                 

She plays banjo,fiddle,guitar and mandolin. She proforms a couple of tunes on nearly every Dollar Brothers' set. She placed first at the 2010 Ashe County Fiddler's Convention in the banjo competition and placed fourth in the adult bluegrass banjo competiton. She went to the 2010 Galax Fiddlers Convention and placed second in the youth banjo and took third out of 209 in the adult bluegrass banjo. She takes lessons from national banjo champion Steve Lewis.She has played on stage with Wayne Henderson, JC Kemp, Steve Lewis and others. She really enjoys getting the chance to perform and loves to flatfoot. She enjoys her little sister Kendra and she is teaching Kendra to play bluegrass fiddle. Brandy also enjoys hunting and shooting.

Brandy is currently in the studio working on her own cd. She hopes to have it out in March of 2011.

The Dollar Brother's like to give young people a chance to perform and carry on the bluegrass tradition.
